MotoGP, Schwantz: "Acosta is great and a breath of fresh air."

"I think the rivalry between the riders even off the track is a good thing. Martin is the right choice for the official Ducati team, but Bastianini is talented, and I wouldn't rule out Morbidelli."

MotoGP: Schwantz:

Pedro Acosta praised Kevin Schwantz at the opening press conference of the GP of the Americas on Thursday in Austin: "We need more people like him, and I'm not just talking on the track," he said. The Texan champion returned the compliments.

"Acosta is a great new phenomenon," Kevin siad in an interrviewed with AS. "When it come to personality, I don't know much, but I think his riding skills speak for themselves. He has the pace to stay up in  front, even though he's a rookie. I don't know if there's another rider I'd compare him to. I certainly like to think he's a breath of fresh air for the class. I think he's a young guy who's proving that he's fast."

Pedro has the traits that could make him be a personality, and Schwantz agrees with him when he says the MotoGP could use more zest. "I think the rivalry between the riders os a good thing. Some repartee, some fighting, instead of just racing against each other on the track," the rider from Texas commented.

Lastly, he also talked about the riders market and especially about Bagnaia's future teammate, since the second spot on the official Ducati team is still vacant.

"I think Martin is the right choice right now. Obviously, being at the top of the world championship. Bastianini is still a great talent, and I wouldn't completely exclude Morbidelli from the equation," Kevin stated.
