Ducati has been doing a bit of counting. Barring any sensational last-minute surprises, Alvaro Bautista and Nicolò Bulega will not take part in the test day in Cremona today. The Aruba riders will only lap tomorrow in order to preserve its number of test days throughout the season.
As written in the regulations: the available test days are 10 in total and at the moment Ducati has used 5 of them. By remaining idle today and only taking to the track tomorrow, Aruba will still have four test days left.
Considering that next week there will be the Misano test, Aruba will take advantage of the last two days to go to Aragon later in the summer or to Estoril, should the Portuguese circuit replace Balaton in the calendar.
In addition to Ducati Aruba, the Yamaha Crescent of Rea and Locatelli as well as the GRT bikes of Gardner and Aegerter will not take to the track today.
