In a class like the Moto3, in which even a thousandth of second makes a difference, everything has to be considered, down to the slightest detail. To improve maximum bike speed, KTM technicians introduced an innovation during the Austrian GP FP1: a rear lenticular rim. Ducati had already experimented with this idea in the MotoGP but then dismissed it.
This morning, Ajo team riders Masia and Acosta tested this innovation, which was also available to other teams, such as Max Biaggi's with rider Romano Fenati.
