Testing Never Ends and in Barcelona, teams and riders were back in action the day after the GP. A lot of work, especially for Honda, considering the absence of Zarco.
By the end of the morning, Luca Marini was 13th and he gave a quick recap of what was done on this Monday morning.
“It was a very productive day and I'm quite satisfied with what we accomplished – he said – we tried different things, especially given Zarco's absence, but I can't tell you too much. I also tried some materials that were for him, to continue the work, doing my best.”
What is your assessment of what was done?
“We are in the right direction and Honda had some good ideas, in fact, I am satisfied because we had good things in the box.”
Did you also try the exhaust?
“I didn’t try it because it was for Joan. We will see it later on.”
The new fairing instead?
“It was positive. In the coming hours, we will complete our work. We don't have much else to do, as all the manufacturers have reached the end of the development of these bikes. We have improved the bike well and I hope what we did works at Mugello.”
Any news on the future: is there a deadline?
“At the moment there is no precise date. Everyone is waiting because 90% of the grid is practically defined. There are 3-4 spots still free and everyone is waiting for the right moment.”
