Pedro Acosta Underwent Successful Surgery to Treat Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Pedro Acosta's surgery was successful. The KTM Factory Racing team announced the successful outcome of the minor procedure on his right wrist that the Spanish rider underwent this morning to resolve the carpal tunnel syndrome that forced him to retire from the Dutch Grand Prix.

Acosta announced the surgery immediately after the race, which he was forced to abandon because he lost the sensation in his hand, which he needed to reach the checkered flag. He's expected to get back on the track at the German Grand Prix, scheduled for the second weekend of July at the Sachsenring, pending a medical check-up set for next week.
