Jorge Lorenzo has signed an agreement to become sports manager for the young Spanish rider, Víctor Cubeles, nicknamed "Chico Maravilla". The agreement also marks the birth of a new model for developing talent in motorcycling, inspired by the principles that have shaped the great training systems in the world of sport.
After his successful career, Jorge Lorenzo is embarking on a new phase with a clear goal: to transform his experience into a legacy and structure a system that transcends individual riders. This project was created with a precise ambition in mind. He wants to create in motorcycling what La Masia has been for soccer, namely, a system based on method, comprehensive training, long-term decisions, and a unique identity from the early stages of a rider's career. This model not only aims at training fast riders but also complete athletes who are technically, mentally, and strategically prepared to reach the elite.
The agreement with Víctor Cubeles represents the first visible step in this system. The project is based on historical continuity, since Chicho Lorenzo, Jorge's father, was Cubeles' coach during the key stages of his development.
The model is based on three strategic pillars that define this new vision of sports: sports management and career planning (with medium- and long-term decisions that prioritize the rider's effective development over immediate results), representation and relationship with teams and sponsors (creating a stable and professional environment, in line with the rider's development), and comprehensive support (working on track performance but also on mindset, discipline, media exposure, and preparation).
Jorge's involvement will be direct and continuous. He'll be actively participating in key project decisions and transferring the needs, mindset, and standards, whic have distinguished his career as a world champion, to the rider's daily life.
"I experienced motorcycling from the inside throughout my life," Lorenzo explained. "Now I feel that the time has come to give back to this sport everything it has given me, creating a system that helps young riders grow with method, criteria, and a clear vision. Victor perfectly represents this starting point."
Víctor Cubeles emphasized. "Being part of a project led by Jorge and Chicho Lorenzo is a unique opportunity. It's not just about competing but about learning how to build a career with solid foundations."
This agreement marks the beginning of a modiel that aspires to become a benchmark in motorcycle training, combining experience, method, and a strategic vision.
