Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa gathered at KTM headquarters for end-of-year celebrations, a significant meeting between two MotoGP icons. Pedrosa has now been a KTM test rider since 2019, while Lorenzo officially joins the Austrian project as the personal coach of Maverick Viñales, who will be contesting his second season with Tech3 in 2026.
With this new position, Lorenzo comes to have worked with almost every MotoGP manufacturer: Yamaha, Ducati, Honda, and now KTM, with Aprilia as the only exception. The five-time world champion praised the organization in Mattighofen, speaking of a "united structure with a winning mentality," and said he is convinced that the team has the potential to fight for podiums and victories already in the near future.
