The title is awarded in the final round of MotoE 2025, and Friday's qualifying defined the grid for both races of the Portuguese GP.
As many as seven riders are still in the running for the title, and it is the leader of the standings, Alessandro Zaccone (Aruba Cloud MotoE Team), who will start from the pole position after coming through Q1. He will be joined on the front row by Italian Oscar Gutierrez (MSI Racing Team) and Eric Granado (LCR E-Team), despite a last-minute crash by the Brazilian at Turn 1.
Second in the standings, Mattia Casadei (LCR E-Team) leads the second row, while third in the standings, Matteo Ferrari (Felo Gresini MotoE), has to settle for eighth place after a crash early in Q2. Two other title contenders, Andrea Mantovani (Klint Forward Factory Team) and Lorenzo Baldassarri (Dynavolt Intact GP), failed to make it past Q1 and will have to recover from thirteenth and fourteenth positions, respectively.
