Ogura judged fit, Aprilia Trackhouse rider will race at Mugello

"I feel better and can't wait to get back on the bike even though I haven't ridden since Silverstone and haven't even participated in testing, so it will take some time to recover."

MotoGP: Ogura judged fit, Aprilia Trackhouse rider will race at Mugello

Ai Ogura is ready to return to the track. Already declared healed at the beginning of the week by Dr. Joan Carles Montllau who, at the Clínica Dexeus-Quirón in Barcelona, had operated on the upper part of his right tibia injured in the crash that occurred during free practice 1 at Silverstone, the Trackhouse Racing rider, this Thursday, also received the green light from Dr. Charte, the world championship's medical director on the various circuits on the calendar.

This means that, tomorrow morning, when the Mugello race weekend officially kicks off, we will also see him riding the Aprilia.

"I feel much better now. I'm starting to feel able to ride and compete, so I think my fitness is on the right track. I've been away from the bike since England. It doesn't seem like a long time, for I missed Aragon and the test, consequently I will need some time to recover during the first session on Friday. That's part of the game, however I'm looking forward to start improving right away. I need to race and I'm happy to be able to make my comeback," were the Japanese rider's words after receiving the good news.
