MotoGP: Leathers, motorcycle and car: Capirossi auctions his collection for charity

Loris Capirossi has decided to auction off part of his collection. In collaboration with Catawiki, he has decided to sell some memorabilia from his time as a rider, as well as motorcycles and cars. The proceeds will be donated to charity, and it will be possible to place one's bet until Sunday, September 8, the day of the San Marino GP race.

There are many items belonging to Capirex up for auction, starting with the leathers, helmet, boots and gloves used in his last season with the Ducati Pramac team. There are also 3 motocross bikes used by Loris (and customized by him) for training. All 2-strokes: a Suzuki RM 250, a Kawasaki KX 500 and a Honda CR 500.

Among the more unusual pieces is a 1969 Vespa Speciale whose engine has been upgraded to 144 cc. The quiet little scooter has become a little rocket on two wheels, with many special parts.

Two cars are for sale. The first is the 1950 Mercury that appeared in the movie Cobra with Sylvester Stallone. The other is a one-off: the 2011 Spada Codatronca Monza TSS Barchetta.

To place your bid you have until Sunday by clicking HERE.
