Yamaha held a very special event in Jerez, pulling its historic racing bikes out of the museum and putting them in the hands of riders. Valentino Rossi was also there, riding a 500 again. The last world champion in the 2-stroke premier class had the opportunity to ride Eddie Lawson's 1986 Yamaha YZR.
A unique opportunity, which Niccolò Canepa captured on video, which you can watch above. Along the corners of the Jerez circuit, the endurance champion rodeChristina Sarron's Yamaha TZ750 and followed the Doctor with his camera.
For a few minutes, it feels like we're back in the past, almost smelling the fumes of the 2-stroke, accompanied by the bluish clouds from the exhaust pipes, and its piercing sound.
Get comfortable, turn up the volume and enjoy the video.
