MotoGP: BREAKING NEWS - Alex Rins forced to stop due to leg pain

Alex Rins is forced to stop, his weekend ended with the second practice session. This was announced by the LCR team in a short note: "Alex Rins has been declared ineligible to race due to the pain in his right leg he suffered today on the track. We are proud of his efforts, thank you for trying Alex."

The Spanish rider-who had not been on a MotoGP bike for four months following the tibia and fibula fracture suffered at Mugello had warned yesterday that this would be a test of sorts for him. He had arrived in Motegi at the last minute after being given the green light by his doctors, but he did not know what to expect.

Unfortunately, the pain in his injured leg is still too severe and it is better for him to stop and take full advantage of the two weeks before the Indonesian GP to continue his recovery.

Rins had finished both practice rounds in last place.
