MotoGP, Not only Yamaha, a new fairing also for Honda at Silverstone

Takaaki Nakagami will try it out in the British Grand Prix after the tests carried out by Bradl, but Marquez has not yet approved it

MotoGP: Not only Yamaha, a new fairing also for Honda at Silverstone

During the summer break, the manufacturers seem to be concentrating above all on aerodynamics. Ducati brought some small evolutions to its fairing (Martin is testing it in FP1, Bagnaia maybe in the afternoon), Yamaha instead completely changed its front wings on the M1 and Honda did the same on the RC213V. This new aerodynamic package was tested by test rider Stefan Bradl in recent weeks and Takaaki Nakagami will race it at Silverstone.

Also note the Aprilia-style 'step' (although not very pronounced) on the sides of the fairing.

It is clear how the Japanese technicians are looking for more aerodynamic load, following the path already taken by Ducati and Honda. Yesterday, Marc Marquez had anticipated the news of this modification, also emphasizing the fact that for the moment this new fairing would not be homologated on his bike. First, other confirmations are sought and the LCR rider will collect important data for the future.
