MotoGP, Stefan Bradl: "I didn't see any Kalex chassis in the Jerez tests"

The debut of the new chassis is reported to have been postponed to June 1, when the riders will be on the track. The test rider: "for Honda it won't be easy even in Austin"

MotoGP: Stefan Bradl:

For some time there has been talk of the new Honda chassis made by Kalex and many observers expected to see it on the Jerez track in the hands of Stefan Bradl. The German test rider was at work on the Spanish track on Monday and Tuesday, although he had to cut short the last day of testing after lunch to go to the airport, after receiving news that he had to replace Marc Marquez at Austin.

“I was able to complete the programme, although on the second day we could have done more because the weather was perfect,” Stefan explained to Speedweek.

Stefan was also asked a question about the new chassis.

“I didn’t see any Kalex chassis - replied Bradl with a smile - The one I used was aluminium coloured and I didn't notice a different shape compared to the previous ones”.

It's hard to say if the tester was telling a little lie, even if it seems that HRC wants to check the new chassis first in Japan and then hand it over to the riders. When? The next official test (not reserved only for testers, but for all riders) is scheduled for Jerez on May 1st, the Monday after the Spanish GP

"I have no information, but that will be the next test" the German wasn’t saying too much.

We will therefore have to wait. Bradl then had something to say about the GP of the Americas.

“I don't think it will be easy for Honda right now, not even in Austin - he said - It doesn't make sense to start the weekend with high expectations. I will be able to compare myself with my colleagues Pirro and Folger, but at the moment there is nothing to gain and a lot to lose for a tester. You have to see things in perspective."
