Aprilia is undoubtedly one of the surprises of this 2022 season and at Noale they are working hard to make a dream come true, that is to win the world title. Romano Albesiano is well aware of this and outlines the balance of this first day of testing at Misano.

"Given the few days of testing available to us, every day becomes crucial to understand and analyze our work - said the engineer - we have a list of new components to test and at the moment we have carried out 99% of the plan, including the development of the new chassis. It's not the one from 2023, but it does have some components that we will see next season. Apart from that, there is also the aerodynamics on which to focus ".

However, Aprilia is not looking for revolutions.

"From the point of view of the chassis, as well as with regard to aerodynamics and electronics, nothing will change in particular for 2023. We will see the new RS-GP next year at Sepang. As I said, at the moment we are just testing some parts, going section by section. Obviously the engine is one of the crucial aspects and we are already planning some tests, in order to anticipate various operations”.

In view of the season finale, Albesiano knows what it takes.

“We are working to have more drive in acceleration. This is one of the objectives, but without touching the internal engine components”.

Finally, some background information.

“We have to follow the indications of both riders. Today we had confirmation that Aleix and Maverick have different needs regarding the components of the chassis and as a result we will have to evaluate different solutions. We cannot go in one direction, but we must do two different types of development. For us it is not a problem”.
