It was the stage of the Rossini theater in Pesaro that inaugurated the new season of the Mooney VR46 team, Valentino Rossi’s team that for the first time will be directly involved in MotoGP. A project started in 2014 by Moto3, parallel to the Riders Academy, has reached its maturity.
"We are doubly proud - explained Alberto Tebaldi - First of all for having arrived in MotoGP and then for having done so with our riders. However, it is not a point of arrival but a beginning".
Conducting the event were the two DJs Albertino and Vic, who presented the protagonists and of course spoke with the master of the house. Valentino did not hide his emotion: "we are very happy to have reached this point, we started with Moto3 and now we are in MotoGP - he recalled - It's like the closing of a circle, but also the beginning of a nice story. We will try to do our best, the bikes are very beautiful, then we will see what the track will tell us ".
The two riders in the premier class will be Luca Marini ("we expect a year in which the level of competition will be very high, I like it and I think we can make a difference") and the rookie Marco Bezzecchi ("the goal is to have fun and learn" ). For them two Ducati Desmosedicis (2022 for Maro and 2021 for Bez) and the leadership of Pablo Nieto, team manager.
In Moto2, on the other hand, Luca Brivio will manage Celestino Vietti ("I have to try to constantly fight for the top positions") and Niccolò Antonelli, who has made the leap in the category ("I have to get rid of my Moto3 automatisms and do it quickly") .
