Nicky Hayden has entered the Motorsport Hall of Fame of America as the 269th rider (a tribute to his race number, 69) to achieve this recognition. In 2018, the Kentucky Kid had already been inducted into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame.

The ceremony was held in Pontiac, Michigan and was attended by the Hayden family:  Jennifer, Tommy, Kathleen, Roger, Rose, and Earl Hayden.

"On behalf of the entire motorcycle community, congratulations to the Hayden family on this prestigious award for Nicky's accomplishments on and off the track," Bill Savino, American Honda's Senior Manager for Customer Engagement, stated.
