Miller: In Austria I'll be at 100% for the first time

In Germany, he managed to get the better of Valentino Rossi in the last lap, taking seventh place. In the previous race he even won in the Assen free-for-all ahead of Marc Marquez. The turning point that Jack Miller had been waiting for has finally arrived. Now, after almost a month of rest and relaxation, the Austrian round awaits, where the Honda standard-bearer has no intentions of stopping: “I had time to relax and now I’m ready to get back on the track – he said – in the last three races I have managed to achieve important results that will give me momentum in the coming races.”

The Spielberg track, which has now become the Red Bull Ring, is back on the Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing calendar after almost twenty years. However, the Australian is not worried. To the contrary: “Using the test days was crucial for getting to know the track – he added – It’s a very fast track where I also found a good race pace. This could help our bike – he pointed out – Obviously a lot will depend on the Michelin tyres.”

There is one aspect that gives the Marc VDS rider confidence: “I think that this is the first race of the season where I will be on the track and 100%, in terms of both physical and mental fitness – he concluded – I can’t wait for Friday.”

The tests three weeks ago at the Red Bull Ring circuit also left Tito Rabat with positive feedback. Fresh from his sixteenth place finish on the Sachsenring, the Spaniard is aiming to take a step forward: “The Ducatis were very fast, but I need to focus on the Honda – he commented – I am definitely highly motivated and I got a lot of experience in the first part of the season.”

The goal is clear: “I need to try and get close to Q2, but I especially need to finish the race in the points zone.”
