Moto3: Danny Kent to race in Le Mans with team KTM Ajo

Danny Kent’s immediate future is in Moto3 with KTM colours. After the tumultuous break-up with team Kiefer in Austin, the Brit has made an agreement with the Austrian manufacturer. On Tuesday he will test the Moto3 bike in Jerez on a day of testing along with the team Ajo riders.

But this will just be a taste for the former cadet class world champion who will race in Le Mans as a wildcard alongside Antonelli and Bendsneyder.

For Danny it will be a return to the Finnish team where he had raced in 2012. “After learning of Danny Kent’s situation in the World Championship, the team, Red Bull and KTM had the joint idea of asking him to test and develop our bike - team manager Aki Ajo explained - We know well how he works and he knows us, and we believe that with his experience he can give us a very interesting point of view for the technical development of our bike. In addition, what every rider needs is to compete, so we have offered him the possibility of a wildcard ride at Le Mans with us. I am convinced that the outcome of this collaboration will be very satisfactory for both parties.”
