On January 5th, Paolo Simoncelli joined the torch relay that is carrying the Olympic Flame from Greece to Milan. The star of the Ancona-Rimini leg, the owner of Sic58 Squadra Corse, decided to transform what could have simply been a moment of personal joy - as he himself told the press at the time, a special way to remember his son Marco - into something concrete and useful.
A few weeks later, the manager has decided to auction, on eBay, the torch-bearer suit he wore that day and that he also autographed.
Anyone interested in particpating can do so via this link. The end of the auction is scheduled for February 6th at 11 a.m., while the suit will be delivered between February 10th and 11th. At the moment, 38 bids have already been made, reaching a total of €505.
The proceeds from the initiative will go to the Marco Simoncelli Foundation and also the Live non-profit organization.
