To say that Toprak Razgatlioglu is tireless is an understatement. As the antithesis of a couch potato, he continues to be surprising.
If we start from last December, he went from singing on a well-known Turkish television program to fighting tooth and nail on the track and riding a motorcycle with the child prodigy, Zayn Sofuoglu, son of his mentor Kenan. Then, since he's never one to rest on his laurels, he put his helmet and suit back on to dedicate himself to four wheels.
In the last few hours, the theatrical and, at this point, eclectic three-time SBK world champion got into the cockpit of a car. The car was specifically a modern Skoda Fabia R5 rally car, which is normally used in the WRC, and took to the wheel on a dirt track, demonstrating his skill at countersteering.
Could this be his future once he leaves motorcycling? We'll see. For now, he's just having fun. Meanwhile, January 13th is fast approaching. That's the day when we'll see him wearing the colors of the Yamaha Prima Pramac MotoGP team for the first time at the official presentation. But, if you want to see him in action, you'll have to wait until the end of the month, when the Sepang shakedown is scheduled.
