Izan Guevara came in 11th at the end of the 2025 Moto2 season with 134 points against the 287 that the winner, Diogo Moreira, gained. Izaz has turned out to be among the most significant emerging talented riders and, as such, he'll soon be a candidate for a spot in the MotoGP.
With a number of titles in the minor categories, like in the European Talent Cup in 2019 or the CEV Moto3 category in 2020, the BLU Cru Pramac rider was also able to showcase himself in the World Championship by winning in the minor class in 2022.
Last November, Izan participated in a private test, riding Quartararo and Rins's M1 on the Valencia track, during which he was complimented by Pramac Team Manager Gino Borsoi, who was amazed by his skills. "His test was very good," he said, as was reported by Crashnet.
"After just a few laps, he was on par with the MotoGP riders. His ability to understand what needs to be done on the bike in a short time is impressive. I hope that this peculiarity of his will turn out to be the key to moving to the premier class as early as 2027," Gino added.
Without fear of causing a scandal, the 51-year-old Italian manager ventured an important comparison. "He has a brutal talent. In Japan, I was asked who he resembled and, personally, he reminds me a lot of Valentino Rossi because of his incredible desire to rider, to win, and to experience the paddock. He laughs, jokes around, and works just like Vale did, but with great talent. To me, he looks like a copy of him," he concluded.
