The Australian GP will forever enter Aprilia's history. With Raúl Fernández's victory on his RS-GP25, Noale reaches a historic milestone: win number 300 in the MotoGP.
But this record takes on even greater meaning because it confirms Aprilia as the most successful European manufacturer in the history of Grand Prix racing, placing the Noale-based factory at the center of the legacy of this sport. Thanks to these results, Aprilia Racing can count on a fanbase whose passion and tradition are unparalleled.
Aprilia's success story spans all eras and most categories of the Grand Prix: from 125cc to 250cc all the way to the MotoGP.
In 1987, the factory celebrated the first of 300 victories with Loris Reggiani's win in the 250cc class. Its first major milestone was then reached in 1999 with victory number 100, signed by Valentino Rossi at Welkom in the 250cc class. Seven years later, in 2006, came number 200, won by Mattia Pasini at the Sachsenring in the 125cc. Today, number 300, achieved by Raúl Fernández on the Phillip Island track, marks a new chapter for the the factory in Noale.
Among the role players who have stood out in this extraordinary journey, the factory can boast of: Valentino Rossi - the most successful rider with Aprilia with his 26 wins (12 in the 125cc and 14 in the 250cc) - followed by Max Biaggi with 23 wins (all in the 250cc), and also Jorge Lorenzo with 17 wins in the 250cc.
Aprilia's course has been built on talent, passion, and innovation, which have given rise to legendary champions in the history of Grand Prix racing. And these 300 victories tell one truly all Italian story: the soul of Aprilia Racing and the Piaggio Group.
