Moto2, Arbolino: "Pramac is a team of former riders. Speaking the same language is nice."

"Between Boscoscoscuro, De Angelis and Borsoi, we understand each other on the fly. Proud to be on an Italian bike. Quartararo? I already loved him. Now even more that both of us are tied to Yamaha. MotoGP? The future remains an unknown."

Not only Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins: the day the M1 MotoGP was officially presented, the Blu Cru Pramac Yamaha was also unveiled, in its debut in the Moto2 with Izan Guevara, but especially with our own Tony Arbolino.

The vice-champion of the 2023 class, who arrived from the Marc VDS team, greeted the change with enthusiasm, and he also openly talked about his goals.

What's it like to be here?
"It's a good event, very exciting. A change of scenery is what my body and mind were asking of me. It was all very easy though. The team leaders were eager to do something new, and their determination is what convinced me. I, myself, needed a change, and I'm very motivated and happy to be here."

A new team, but also a new bike, from Kalex to Boscoscuro.
"I'm happy. I really appreciate Luca as a person and then, since it's an Italian bike, I feel it's a bit mine. All the guys in the team work really well. I have to say that the sensation is better than in the past. I found a lot of positive aspects. The bike is world champion, consequently, I think it already has everything to win. We just lack a little fine tuning, but the foundation is already very good."

Between Boscoscoscuro, De Angelis and Borsoi, you'll always be dealing with former colleagues.
"The positive aspect is precisely dealing with three people who raced in the past and were going strong. What you say, they already know. It becomes easier to interact and explain any possible problem. You speak the same language. For now, it's all really good."

You now you have Yamaha behind you. Do you think it's the right place for you to make the jump from the Moto2 to the MotoGP?
"Let's say I'm inspired by the project, but the future remains an unknown. I can't wait to get on the track."

What's it like to be in Quartararo's world?
"Good, because I have a great relationship with him, but seeing him up close is even better. I already loved him and was fond of him, but now even more. I'm really proud to be here."

Who are the riders to watch out for in the upcoming championship?
"Like every year, there are going to be those who come out well at the beginning and then get lost, so it's hard to make predictions. It's a complex category. I'm, however, there. I believe in myself, the bike, and the team, so I think we can do a good job."

Finally, what are you still lacking?
"On paper, nothing, then we'll see during the season. You forge ahead with one-hundred percent conviction."
