The Klint Racing Team has announced that Xabier Zurutuza will be replacing Jorge Navarro in the upcoming Barcelona Grand Prix. Zurutuza, a young Spanish rider born in Legazpi, has made a name for himself in recent years in the main feeder series for the MotoGP World Championship. After gaining experience in the European Talent Cup and JuniorGP, he'll now have the opportunity to take on a new and important challenge on the Moto2 stage. Jorge Navarro, instead, continues his recovery following the injury he sustained during the French Grand Prix.
“I’m very happy to have this opportunity with the team in Barcelona,” Xabier said. “First of all, I wish Jorge a speedy recovery. I’ll give it my all this weekend and can’t wait to start working with the team.”
Team CEO Martina Cuzari added, “We’re happy to welcome Xabier to our team for the Barcelona weekend. He’s a talented young rider who’s showing great potential, and we believe he’ll do a good job alongside the team. At the same time, we wish Jorge a speedy recovery and hope to see him back on the track soon.”
