American Racing and Filip Salač commit to the future with 2027 contract extension

American Racing Team is proud to announce that Filip Salač will continue with the team through the 2027 Moto2 World Championship season.
The 2026 season has marked a breakthrough campaign for Filip, who has claimed four front-row starts and established himself as a consistent frontrunner. A hard- fought second-place finish at the Hungarian Grand Prix was followed by a podium in front of his passionate home crowd at the Czech Grand Prix in Brno, where Salač claimed third place to secure back-to-back podium finishes, underlining the progress made by both rider and team.

“I’m very happy about the contract extension - said Eitan Butbul, Team Owner - For me, the fact that Filip managed to fit in so quickly, with the team, the environment, the DNA of what we’re building, was what stood out from the start. His adjustment was genuinely impressive. From there it’s been all about the work: he’s stayed consistent, kept progressing from the beginning of the season, and overcame the bumps we hit early in the season. The results these last few races just confirm what we already felt, that we’re on the right path, and Filip is a big part of where we’re headed in 2027.”

“I'm so happy to continue with American Racing. It's my second family,
and I feel really good here - added Filip Salač - We've had some great results in not so many races together, which shows we're a great fit and I can't wait for the future together. I think we have big opportunities ahead of us and can fight for victories, so yes, I'm super happy, and we'll keep pushing".
