MotoGP: Honda back in action in Buriram with Aleix Espargarò and Taka Nakagami

Honda's 2025 starts in Buriram. While they wait for the collective tests scheduled in Malaysia from February 5th to 7th (preceded by the Shakedown from January 31st to February 2nd), the Japanese team has organized a two-day private test session with test riders Aleix Espargaro and Takaaki Nakagami. Fresh from  retirement, the two former MotoGP riders will be back on their bike this week to gather information and provide guidance to the engineers for developing the RC213V.

Friday and Saturday are the days that were chosen to begin working on the new season, which will be starting next March 2nd from the circuit in Thailand. This will also be the track where the second collective test session will take place on Feb. 12th and 13th.

According to Motorsport.com, the absence of veteran Stefan Bradl, HRC's third test rider, has been confirmed. As per the technical concessions, Honda will be able to continue testing wherever it wants, and as much as it wants, during the year, as long as it complies with the 260-tire maximum imposed by Dorna.
