Casey Stoner was raised in his native Australia on bread, dirt, and short track, achieving respectable results, but once he landed in Europe, he definitively converted to asphalt. This gave life to the career we all know, which he culminated reaching the 2007 MotoGP title with Ducati, and replicating the same in 2011 with Honda.
After retiring from racing at the end of 2012, he still remained in the MotoGP as a test rider for Honda until 2015, and switching to the Borgo Panigale team until 2018, before permanently returning to his homeland where he devoted himself to car racing but, above all, to his family.
However, since you never forget your first love, the 38-year-old hasn't been able to resist the call of the dirt track and, recently, he posted a short snippet of video on Instagram where he's wearing his overalls and helmet while on a dirt track bike, ready to launch himself into drifts to the notes of AC/DC's "It's a Long Way to the Top (If You WannaRock 'N' Roll)".
"Dusting off the cobwebs, first time on a dirt track bike in 20 years," is the message that accompanies the photos, with Chris Vermeulen's support.
