The MotoGP pre-season starts soon, and the full rundown of the dates for the 2026 season were announced.
After the Shakedown test, from January 29th to 31st, the Sepang test officially opens the MotoGP from February 3rd to 5th in Malaysia. They then head into Kuala Lumpur on February 7th for the season launch.
From there, Chang International Circuit in Buriram will welcome the MotoGP for a final two-day test on Febraury 21st and 22nd, the weekend before the PT Thai Grand Prix.
Once the season has started, the year will consists of four in-season test days. The first two are official tests and will follow the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez and the Catalan Grand Prix in Barcelona, respectively. Riders will test with tires from the MotoGP's official tire supplier, Michelin.
Post-race non-official tests using the 2027 tire supplier are planned on the Mondays following the Czech and Austrian Grand Prixs.

Moto2 and Moto3
The test calendar for the Moto2 and Moto3 classes has also now been confirmed. The pre-season tests have been split by category, with the Moto3 heading out for their first test at Portimão on February 9th and 10th, before the Moto2 takes to the track at the same venue on February 11th and 12th.
The Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto will then host the official Moto3 test on February 14th and 15th and the official Moto2 test on February 16th and 17th.
The Moto3 will have an in-season test on the Tuesday following the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez, and the Moto2 will have its in-season test on the Tuesday following the Catalan Grand Prix in Barcelona.
