MotoGP, Schwantz: "I see a lot of myself in Acosta. For Bagnaia it will be tough with Marquez."

"Counting on two strong riders like Pecco and Marc will help Ducati to stretch its rivals, but I expect great internal competition. Pedro is a potential champion like Martin."

MotoGP: Schwantz:

Although there are still several races to go before the end of the current championship, the thoughts of many are already looking towards 2025, when Bagnaia and Marquez will be in the box of the factory Ducati, two heavyweights of the sport who will certainly do everything to sell their skins dearly and prevail over each other.

Convinced that the internal challenge will be as spicy as it is interesting even a legend like Kevin Schwantz who, speaking to the official MotoGP website said, "It will definitely be a super team, that's for sure. Having both riders in the same garage, the input they get from both riders going as fast as they can go, it's going to be interesting, it's just going to continue to build Ducati and Ducati's advantage."

While being able to enjoy a top-notch lineup is a guarantee of performance, the same could be a cause for dissension and discontent. "The first person you don't want to get beat by is your teammate, so it's hard to have a good teammate unless they are nowhere close to beating you. There will be a lot of rivalry and competition between them," he argued convincingly.

Certainly life will be more complicated than at present. "Bastianini has been good competition for Bagnaia in certain places, but I think Marquez will push him every weekend."

In spite of a predictable superiority of the Desmosedici also next year, for the American it would be unfair to exclude from the fight Aprilia and KTM, who will for sure go strong in 2025 with fierce young riders like Martin and Acosta.

"Someone like Martin, who is a bit faster and more motivated and willing to push the envelope means the sky is the limit for the Aprilia. I think Pedro has the potential to be a World Champion for sure. He's young, he's spirited, he crashes twice in a session, he doesn't let it bother him. I see a lot of myself in Pedro. As long as he continues to mature, to get faster and hone those race skills," was his final consideration.
