MotoGP, Fear at Silverstone for Binder: "I risked getting hit"

MotoGP: Fear at Silverstone for Binder:

Brad Binder took a nasty risk at the start of the British Grand Prix by starting in slow motion from a 6th position on the grid. Fortunately, no one rear-ended him, but the South African experienced moments of fear.

"The clutch started slipping when I popped it off," he explained, then added, "Until the finish.  At the start, everything was  fine, then I couldn't get it into neutral, and I thought ... shoot, what's wrong?"

At the start, the clutch kept slipping and, obviously, the KTM didn't accelerate. "I did my best to stay crouched down, and raised my hand to signal the problem, in case someone hit me, I was prepared. I was lucky no one hit me," Brad said.

It seems the problem may have been an oversight: not putting the race map back in after using the one for the reconnaissance lap to save fuel.
