Who is the best motorcycle racer in history? The question has always fascinated fans, and everyone has their own idol, so a real answer does not exist. However, the topic excites all lovers of the sport, and even the riders themselves are not excluded. So even Fabio Quartararo has named who the GOAT (English acronym for 'the greatest of all time') is for him. The revelation was in an interview with the YouTube channel "TwoJeys".
"My idol was always Valentino, but for me Marc is the best ever," the Frenchman said.
He then explained why: "Even if he has won fewer titles, Marc is the best ever. In 2014 he won the first 10 races of the year and I thought 'who is this guy?'" - he continued - "On top of it all, you put him in wet races, dry races, windy races, in good conditions or the worst, and he is always very fast. For me he is the example that best describes what he is like as a rider."
Quartararo was certainly very honest in praising one of his current opponents.
"He is very aggressive, when you see him riding it looks like he is a second and a half faster than you," Fabio concluded.
