MotoGP, Bastianini: "I have a bad memory of Montmelo, but I'm growing"

"I fell in 2023, and had to miss three GPs. I want to fight up front this time." Bagnaia: "The last two editions should be forgetten, but I'm optimistic. I'm expecting very strong opponents."

MotoGP: Bastianini:

Ducati is preparing to take to the track at Montmelo as the absolute leader of the two overall classifications, where Jorge Martin is among the riders that stands out most in Pramac. For the Borgo Panigale constructor, the Catalunya track is fairly favorable for them, with four successes, the first in 2003 with Loris Capirossi. The two official riders, Bagnaia and Bastianini, will be present and hungry for redemption after their terrible falls last year, especially the rider from Romagna who fractured his left wrist and ankle.

"Just like in France, we were unlucky here in 2022 and 2023. But, this time, I hope it's going to be different," Pecco - second in the overall standings with 91 points - said. "The last weekend in Le Mans was positive overall, even if we lacked something in the GP compared to our rivals. It'll be important to continue working, in order to be even more competitive. Compared to the transalpine round, I expect very different grip conditions and some of our rivals in particularly good shape. In any case, I'm confident and ready to give my best, as always."

Less brilliant than his garage mate, but consistent enough to secure a fourth place overall with 89 lengths, Enea also wants to forget last edition's fall. "Unfortunately, I don't have good memories of Barcelona from the last World Championship because of the accident I had in the race, which then forced me to miss three other events. Despite this, I'm calm and confident. Gradually, I'm becoming faster and am improving steadily. We have a good base on which to set up the work for the weekend. The goal is to continue fighting for the top positions."
