Alex Rins suffered a fractured tibia and fibula following a crash during the Mugello sprint race at the Arrabbiata 1 bend. The LCR team rider will undergo a first surgery this evening at the Careggi University Hospital in Florence, where doctors will apply an external fixator to stabilize his right leg and reduce the swelling. He will remain under observation and, once authorized, will return to Spain to undergo the final operation.

His participation in the Sachsenring GP scheduled for next weekend has been ruled out.
