MotoGP: Rainey: “Bagnaia will feel the pressure, there are many fast riders”

Wayne Rainey, the 500 champion who’s currently at the helm of the MotoAmerica championship, was also present at the Austin GP. Wayne enjoyed the MotoGP races and was also there to witness Bagnaia’s fall, which nullified his entire weekend.

Bagnaia was very fast. He pushes a lot. I know that he falls sometimes, but I also remember what he did last year with a comeback from so far back,” Wayne explained in an interview with  motogp.com. “He has a Ducati that gives him everything it can. He’s on the official team, and I think he has the best package available.

Rainey knows that the championship is only just beginning and that it won’t be easy for Bagnaia.

There are a lot of fast riders, a lot of Ducatis. Bastianini, the Beast, will return,” he affirmed. “There’s no doubt that Pecco will feel the pressure. There will be many riders close to each other, and it’ll be fun to see.
