Oli Bayliss is ready to retrace his father's footsteps, because from 2022 he will be in Europe to make his debut on the Ducati Panigale V2 in the new Supersport World Championship, which will undergo a change in the regulations, thus allowing the Borgo Panigale twin-cylinder bike to return to compete in this championship. Troy's son made his first contact in Australia with the bike that he will take to the track next season and did so at The Bend, the same track where Jack Miller raced in SBK in the last round of the championship.

The 2021 season was a positive one for Oli, who took a splendid race win in the Australian SBK championship in his debut season, at just 18 years old. An excellent business card for Oli, who obviously with his surname makes all Ducati fans dream, ready to welcome the son of a true legend in 2022.

“It wasn't exactly what I had pictured for my last race weekend before heading to Europe – declared Oli – but it was great to finally go racing again. Congratulations to Wayne for winning the championship and especially to Broc Pearson for taking the Supersport Championship."

“Broc and I train together a lot, so I'm really happy for him. Also, it was great to have Jack Miller alongside us last weekend, as it really lifted the event to a whole new level. I was lucky enough to have picked up a few things from him along the way which was great. This year I've learnt so much and so I'm excited to take the next step in my career next year with the Barni Racing Team in the WorldSBK. But before I go, I really want to thank some people. Obviously Mum and Dad, they're always behind me and I couldn't do what I'm doing without them and I really appreciate it."

“Bryan Hands and Byron Draper, these guys have basically been there for every step of my career with advice, support and hard work. They make me more motivated every time I ride the Ducati PanigaleV4R. And Ben Henry. He puts in so much time and effort behind the scenes that no one ever see's and I'm sure he sometimes thinks no one notices, but we all do Benny. Thank you for everything you've done for me.”
