The section of the "Enzo e Dino Ferrari" international racetrack in Imola, which today is known as the Variante Alta, will now be called the Curva Gresini.

The ceremony dedicated to Fausto Gresini will take place on Sunday 12 September at 10 am and will see the participation of the children of the champion and team manager: Lorenzo, Luca, Alice, Agnese and his wife Nadia Padovani Gresini, together with the president of the Emilia-Romagna region, Stefano Bonaccini, the mayor of Imola, Marco Panieri, the councillor of the circuit, Elena Penazzi and the circuit director, Pietro Benvenuti.

During the ceremony, a commemorative stone for Fausto Gresini will also be unveiled.

The decision for this dedication was taken by the Municipality of Imola, in full agreement with the family of the unforgettable motorcycling champion and MotoGP manager, as a testimony for all the affection and gratitude towards Fausto Gresini.

The ceremony will form part of the ‘200 Miglia di Imola Revival & Coppa d'Oro’ event, scheduled for 11/12 September at the Imola racetrack, which this year is dedicated to the memory of Fausto who while attending those races at Imola drew inspiration and determination for his prestigious career as a racer.

The public will be able to follow the ceremony from outside the Autodromo, in via dei Colli, at the 'Variante Alta'.
