A homeless complex in Owensboro named after Nicky Hayden

Twelve apartments available for people in difficulty. "The best way to carry on the legacy of the Kentucky Kid," said the mayor of the city.


The Nicky Hayden Apartments, a homeless complex named after the motorcycle champion, were inaugurated on Tuesday in Owensboro. These are 12 apartments which will be made available to families or individuals waiting to find permanent accommodation.

For the mayor of Nicky's hometown, this is the best way to "carry on the legacy of the Kentucky Kid by providing a home for those who need one."

The Hayden family was present at the inauguration.
