Nicky Hayden's family has sent a letter requesting damages, via their lawyer Moreno Maresi, to the young man who hit the American rider in May.

As reported in Il Resto del Carlino, assessment by the Rimini prosecutor's office is still underway and as of now it has been ascertained that Nicky didn't gave way at the junction while the car driver was travelling above the limit set for that stretch of road.

Yesterday, the bike that Nicky was riding at the time of the incident was returned to lawyer Maresi, having been sequestered on 17 May, right after the accident.
