There will also be Alberto Ferrandez on the Moto2 World Championship grid at Misano. The Spanish rider, who'll be turning 18 on September 2nd, will make his championship debut at the San Marino and Riviera di Rimini Grand Prix, with a wild card for Beta Tools-Boscoscoscuro and technical support from the Ciatti team.
"I'm very excited to announce that I'll have the opportunity to race in a World Championship race for the first time. I'll be doing a wildcard at the San Marino GP," Ferrandez commented through a post on social media. "Racing in the MotoGP has always been my dream, and now it's time to give it my all on this great occasion. We'll prepare ourselves one hundred percent."
The round scheduled for the weekend of September 12th to 14th could represent a great opportunity for Alberto's future, after the good season he's having in the Moto2 class of the FIM JuniorGP.
With three rounds to go in the championship, the young Spanish rider has a 2nd place in the standings, with a total of 110 points and 14 lengths behind the leader, Unai Orradre. Current rider of the Gv Racing team, after parting ways with the Finetwork XTI MIR Racing Team at the end of June, Ferrandez boasts a total of three wins and three podiums so far, all obtained riding a Boscoscoscuro.
