MotoGP: Valentino Rossi auctions off autographed helmet for Valencia

Valentino Rossi has decided to donate one of his autographed helmets to the Spanish Red Cross and help the people of Valencia affected by the floods in October 9th.

It is the AGV Pista GP RR with the iconic Soleluna design used by the Doctor at the last race of his MotoGP career, held precisely at the Ricardo Tormo in 2021.

The auction, organized by CharityStars, will remain open until next December 6th at 8 p.m. The minimum bid is between 2,500 and 3,000 Euros.

The initiative of the champion from Tavullia is only the latest in a long series that has involved the stars of the MotoGP. The most characteristic was that of newly crowned Moto3 champion David Alonso, who joined in with his boss, Aspar Martinez, to shovel mud from the streets of Valencia. Jaume Masia, now involved in the Moto2, also had a shovle and good will. Former Aprilia rider, Maverick Vinales, donated the KTM with which he won the Moto3 title in 2013.

Among the memorabilia in the auction is Dani Pedrosa's KTM fairing, the scooter with which Aleix Espargaro used to move around the paddock.
