On Sunday afternoon in Jerez, Tito Rabat's adventure with the Puccetti team came to an end. In fact, the Italian outfit, which has become a Kawasaki factory team, decided by mutual agreement with the Japanese manufacturer to entrust the ZX-10RR for next season to Garrett Gerloff, who is leaving BMW.
Manuel would have loved to continue with Tito, given the close relationship they have had for years, but having only one ZX-10RR available in the box made this impossible. Despite his farewell to Puccetti, however, for Tito Rabat the doors of Superbike are not closed in view of 2025.
In fact, according to reports, it appears that the Spaniard is close to Motoxracing. The team led by Sandro Carusi will possibly field two R1s next year and one of them could be given to the former Kawasaki Puccetti man.
Negotiations are ongoing, so we will see if something materializes or not. The fact remains that the Superbike market for next season is now defined.
