Moto2: Somkiat Chantra won't be racing at Phillip Island

After being forced to miss the Japanese Grand Prix, Somkiat Chantra won't be racing in Australia one either. The rider from Thailand is still recovering from the accident he had in the Indonesian GP but hopes to be ready for his home race, which is scheduled for next weekend. As was the case in Motegi, the Asian team won't be replacing him and will ride only ride with Mario Aji.

Somkiat performed a bike test at a go-kart track, but doctors preferred to keep him at rest while waiting for his injured ankle to heal completely. So Chantra won't be at Phillip Island as he aims to get back on the bike in Buriram.
