Six riders were in action at the conclusion of the first test day in Aragon, with four teams on the track: Go Eleven and Marc VDS joined by Kawasaki and Honda. At the end of Wednesday, the fastest turned out to be Sam Lowes with the Ducati.
In fact, the British rider stopped the clock on 1'48"757, preceding the Kawasaki of his brother, Alex, by 8 thousandths. Like we can see from the other times, that's seven tenths from the record set last year by Johnny Rea. Bt two aspects must be taken into account: the first is the wind the riders encountered; the second is the new asphalt, already experienced two weeks ago by the MotoGP riders.
Andrea Iannone came in 3rd, just over two tenths from Sam Lowes' time on the Ducati, but he was really confident on the pace with the SC0, which is the tire that Pirelli will bring to the race in two weeks.
Instead, Lecuona's and Vierge's Hondas stood out behing The Maniac, with the latter in the limelight in Race 2 at Magny-Cours, while Axel Bassani reached a 6th chrono, with the Kawasaki behind the two CBRs of the Spanish rider.
