After taking over the defunct Stop and Go team in the Moto 2 last June, and transforming it into Preicanos Racing, Raul Castañeda has announced an important new addition, hoping that itìll lead his riders to rise from the lower end of the standings, where they been for too long.
The news was released by the team via Instagram, with a photo showing the executive alongside Toni Elias. MotoGP World champion in 2010 and MotoAmerica in 2017, he'll be performing the dual duties of coach and technical advisor.
After retiring permanently from racing, he had already been occupying the same role as assistant for Gresini Racing, but now comes another promotion. The official presentation will take place at the MotorLand circuit in Alcaniz in front of 500 fans next weekend, in conjunction with the Aragon GP, a track a handful of kilometers away.
"His arrival in the team has been welcomed by everyone with great enthusiasm and admiration for his career. Together, we'll strengthen the team with the goal of fighting for the title in 2025," he stated.
