MotoGP, Gardner: "I talked to Crutchlow, and he's happy that I'm riding his bike."

"It's going to be like starting from scratch for me because, compared to Germany, I'll be working with a different technical team. I hope I can help Yamaha progress and provide them with useful data. What can I expect? To have fun."

MotoGP: Gardner:

After replacing Alex Rins in Germany, Remy Gardner is preparing to get back on a MotoGP bike at the Silverstone GP . The Australian rider, who's no novice in the premier class - having defended the colors of the Tech 3 KTM team in 2022 before moving to SBK - will be replacing wild card Crutchlow, who's still struggling with the aftermath of a hand operation.

During the English weekend, the 26-year-old will test several new features that Japan has produced in hopes of making the M1 more competitive.

"I can't wait to get back on the bike," he said. "I wish Cal the best. heard from him, and he said he's happy to lend me the bike for the weekend. I hope he recovers soon and can quickly get back to his old ways, which is going fast."

Despite having the same bike in his hands like in the Sachsenring, there will be some unknowns. "I'll be working with a different technical staff, so I'll have to start from scratch and get to know everyone. But it's not bad, and I'm looking forward to the challenge," he said.

The British round will coincide with an important moment for the MotoGP: its 75th birthday. "Seeing all the celebratory liveries on Sunday is going to be great," he stressed, before making a prediction.

"I like the track, and I think I'll enjoy it more than the German race. I hope to progress even further but, more importantly, to be able to provide more information to the team," he concluded.
