MotoGP: Sachsenring: opportunity for Gardner on the Yamaha in place of Rins

Sometimes they come back, one might say. The last image of Remy Gardner on a MotoGP dates back to 2022, when the Australian was called upon to hold high the colours of the Tech3 team with KTM. It was an adventure that ended so badly that the Austrian manufacturer decided to end its relationship with him at the end of the season.

Gardner was then forced to start again from Superbike, climbing aboard the Yamaha of the GRT team, managed by Filippo Conti. Almost two years after his last appearance in MotoGP, there may now be a new chance for him in MotoGP.

According to reports, Remy Gardner might in fact replace Alex Rins at the Sachsenring GP, scheduled for this weekend. The Australian is among the candidates to step in for the Spaniard, victim of a wrist fracture in the Assen GP, and in the next few hours it should be defined.

So we will see whether or not Gardner will be on the Yamaha M1 in Germany. At the moment he is the main candidate to flank Fabio Quartararo.
