Jorge Martin will no longer be a Ducati rider in 2025. With Marc Marquez close to joining the official Borgo Panigale team, the Madrid native has decided to pick up the baton from his great friend and mentor Aleix Espargaró, to take the Aprilia Racing team to the top by continuing the path of growth undertaken by the Veneto-based manufacturer.
Runner-up in 2023 and current championship leader, Martin will therefore crown his dream of stepping into the official rider's shoes, joining the Noale manufacturer with a multi-year contract and the clear intention of taking the team and the entire Piaggio Group to fight for the world title and establish itself at the top in MotoGP.
"A path of unstoppable growth, Jorge is a building block to reach the goal we are all looking for with great hunger at Aprilia Racing - commented Aprilia Racing CEO Massimo Rivola - Thanks to Dr. Michele Colaninno for this opportunity, we spoke last night and without wasting any time we made the decision."
