MotoGP, Puig confirms Marquez will have a medical check-up around Christmas, then they will decide

The big absentee of these tests was Marc Marquez. Honda brought in its heavy artillery with a very different bike for 2022, but sadly its star rider was not there. The Spaniard has double vision problems and in those conditions he certainly cannot ride.

The worst thing, however, is that it is not even known when and how they will resolve the problem. The idea seems to be to resort to an operation only if absolutely necessary, hoping that other treatments can solve the problem.

Alberto Puig gave an update of the situation: “As we have already explained, he needs some time to rest, recover and understand if the area around the eye will deflate. Around Christmas he will have another medical check-up and we'll see what the situation will be. At that point, we will probably make decisions according to the possibilities that exist. Of course Marc is not happy not to be here, but at the same time he understands that what he needs now is to rest and be patient”.
