MotoGP: Crutchlow slips in paddock, injures ankle ligaments

Cal Crutchlow's physical woes seem never-ending. After having injured his scaphoid during the first race in Jerez, and then having to resort to surgery for compartment syndrome problems (for which he missed both races at Misano), today he injured the ligaments of his left ankle after he slipped.

Cal Crutchlow arrived in Barcelona today and went to Dr. Xavier Mir to check his right forearm before the Grand Prix. The scar appears to be healing and is in much better condition than last week.

Unfortunately, when he got to the circuit, Crutchlow slipped while leaving the booth where swabs are performed, injuring the ligaments of his left ankle, as was confirmed by Dr. Max Ibañez, a member of Dr. Mir's team. However, despite this bad luck, Cal will try to start the race weekend as planned.
